Using Poster Presentation to Enhance Senior High School Students’ Speaking Achievement: An Action Research
Abstract
This study was conducted in the eleventh-grade students in SMAN 4 
Jember. The researcher used classroom action research intended to help the students 
enhance their speaking achievement by using poster presentation. Based on the 
preliminary study, it was found that the eleventh IPS 3 grade students still had 
problems in their speaking achievement. The preliminary study results showed that 
only 14 of 33 students (45%) could pass the passing grade of the minimum score. 
Besides, the passing grade of the English subject used in this school is 75. 
Therefore, the researcher conducted this research to overcome the students’ 
problem in learning speaking by using poster presentation.
