    Abstract
    The rapid development of times can affect the value of courtesy and hospitality, and the moral degradation that has emerged has been shown by many students at school. Thus, education plays an active role in cultivating character values. One way to overcome moral damage is by strengthening character education, which needs to be instilled in students since they are in elementary school to minimize characters that are still not good for students and are contrary to the nation's cultural values. The Osing Tribe Tradition contains the value of strengthening character education, so that this value is very suitable for use as a form of character for students and is also intended to introduce local culture in the Banyuwangi Regency to elementary students so that they know more about the culture in the area where they live. This type of research used descriptive qualitative methods. The results of this study indicate that character education values are contained in Osing Tribe tradition videos, including religious values, independence, mutual cooperation, nationalism, and integrity. The activities of the Kemiren Village community include many religious, mutual cooperation, and nationalist values. This is shown by many activities such as helping each other and being proud of their culture. Teaching materials in the form of traditional videos of the Osing Tribe can be used as alternative teaching materials for fourth-grade students by adapting the teaching modules to existing learning outcomes.
