dc.description.abstract | Nosocomial infections have high mortality and morbidity, especially in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP), central line-associated bloodstream infection (CLABSI), urinary catheter-related infections, and surgical site infections are the most common types of nosocomial infections that can happen in the ICU. We present a case of a 26-year-old male with severe burn Injury with Grade IIAB –III total 36% BSA + Inhalation Trauma et causa disaster victims. The problems of this patient are extensive wounds, metabolic problems such as hypoalbumin, impaired liver and kidney function, electrolyte and acid-base disturbances, and infection. Definitely, this case needs a multidisciplinary team from plastic surgeon, anesthesiologist, internist, nutritionist, and pharmacist to solve this case to prevent mortality. | en_US |
