Pra-Rancangan Pabrik Poliakrilamida dari Akrilamida dengan Kapasitas 10.000 Ton/Tahun
Abstract
Based on data from Mordor Intelligence for 2019, global demand for polyacrylamide reached 2.916 million tons, increasing to 3.9059 million tons in 2025. SNF, the largest global polyacrylamide factory, has a capacity of 1.1 million tons. Indonesia's potential for establishing a polyacrylamide factory presents promising prospects due to wide market competition.
The production processes for polyacrylamide, the chosen process is the mixed-solvent polymerization process from acrylamide raw material with a purity of acrylamide 98%. This plant is designed with a production capacity of 10,000 tons/year with an operating time of 330 days/year. The raw material needed is acrylamide as much as 11207.6 tons/year. The production process is divided into two stages, namely the mixed-solvent polymerization process and evaporation. All operating conditions run at a pressure of 1 atm. Based on the results of the economic analysis evaluation, it can be concluded that the establishment of a Polyacrylamide from Acrylamide plant with a capacity of 10,000 tons/year is feasible with details of a Pay Out Time (POT) of 4.09 years, Rate of Return (ROR) of 21.39%, and Break Even Point (BEP) of 46.04%.
