Pengembangan Modul Pembelajaran IPA Berbasis Real Picture Analysis (RPA) untuk Membangun Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis dan Hasil Belajar Siswa SMP
Abstract
Science learning is currently directed at preparing students to successfully 
fulfill 21st century skills with critical thinking skills being the most basic skills. 
Learning is a communication process between educators and students which 
requires a medium to bridge the communication process in learning activities. The 
aim of this research is to produce a development product in the form of a Real 
Picture Analysis (RPA) based science learning module that can build critical 
thinking skills and student learning outcomes. The RPA-based science learning 
module is a learning media in the form of a module that integrates real phenomena 
in the environment around students in the form of images which are then linked to 
the science concept being studied. In the context of developing teaching materials, 
the quality of the product being developed is determined by three quality aspects, 
including validity, practicality and effectiveness. The type of research used is 4-D 
model development research (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The results 
of the research show that the RPA-based science learning module has a validity of 
95% (very valid), practicality for students and observers of 81% (very good) and 
95% (very good), as well as effectiveness in building critical thinking skills with a 
score of N-gain 0.66 (medium) and 0.72 (high) to build learning outcomes. So, it 
can be concluded that the RPA-based science learning module developed is valid, 
practical and effective for building critical thinking skills and student learning 
outcomes.
