Implementasi Pendidikan Karakter Kedisiplinan Pada Kelas X Program Keahlian Agribisnis Pengolahan Hasil Perikanan
Abstract
Character education is an education system that teaches character values to students with several components such as knowledge, individual awareness, determination, intentions and actions to carry out good values towards God, oneself, fellow human beings, the environment, nation and country, with the hope of creating students with noble character. The many moral problems and deviations that occur among the younger generation such as bullying, free sex, drugs, wild racing, brawls, make it important to teach character values. This study aims to describe the implementation of disciplinary character education in class X students of the fishery product processing agribusiness expertise program at Fisheries and Maritime Vocational School Puger Jember. The method used in this study is the interview method, participatory observation method, document method. Data analysis used in this study includes data collection, data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing and verification. The results of the study show that students have implemented the character of discipline in everyday life both inside and outside the school environment which is instilled through rules, punishments, consistency and rewards. The process of implementing disciplinary character education creates students who have religious character values, nationalism, independence, mutual cooperation, and integrity.
