Analisis Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Tingkat Pengetahuan Perawat tentang Pencegahan Luka Tekan di Ruang Intensif RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung
Abstract
Nurses' insufficient knowledge about pressure ulcers can impede prevention efforts in particular patient groups such as ICU, geriatric, and rehabilitation units. Several factors can contribute to nurses' lack of knowledge on this matter. This study aimed to analyze the factors influencing nurses' knowledge level about pressure ulcer prevention in the intensive care unit of RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung. This study involved 144 nurses in the intensive care unit of RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung. Data were collected using a respondent characteristics questionnaire and The Pressure Ulcer Knowledge Assessment Tool 2.0 (PUKAT 2.0). The data were analyzed using chi-square and multinominal logistic regression analysis. The chi-square analysis found a relationship between age, gender, education level, length of work of nurses, length of work of nurses in the intensive care unit, and literacy (p-value <0.05). Then the variables were entered into multivariate analysis. The results of multinomial logistic regression analysis show that factors of age, gender, education level, and literacy affect nurses' knowledge level (p-value <0.05). The factor that most influence the level of knowledge of nurses about pressure ulcer prevention is the level of education (OR = 26,579, 95% CI = 3,949 – 178,87). This study concludes that the factors of education level, age, literacy, and gender affect the nurses' level of knowledge about pressure ulcer prevention in the intensive care unit of RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung.
