    Abstract
ISIS' invasion of Iraq which occurred on June 10 2014 and the seizure of a third of Iraq's territory was a crucial international discourse, in this case, researchers are trying to dissect the noumena of this event. ISIS itself, which in fact is a product of Al Qaeda, has always had ways of expanding its territory in the international world, especially through political channels. For this reason, ISIS is a jihadist group with a Middle Eastern Sunni-Wahhabi base with its homeland becoming an Islamic state using a caliphate system that started in Syria. The focus of this thesis research is: What are the factors that encourage cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Iraq in facing ISIS. From the research statement described above, the aim of this research is: To determine the factors that encourage cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Iraq in facing ISIS. In this research, the scope of the researcher's focus is the cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Iraq in facing ISIS. This research uses descriptive qualitative research and preparation using a library approach, where the author compiles data from various reference sources such as books, journals, literature studies and other supports. The analysis was carried out using content analysis and discourse analysis, where the researcher analyzed the content of various literary or similar sources and validated the data by triangulating sources, namely sources obtained through selected reference sources, literature and references. Of course, all of this is related to Saudi Arabia and Iraq's cooperation in facing ISIS. This research obtains a temporary conclusion that: Saudi Arabia and Iraq's cooperation in facing ISIS is a form of pride for Iraq in surviving the ISIS attack and a form of Iraq's policy independence from the Gulf, while Saudi Arabia utilizes dominant power in suppressing the influence of Shiite ideology on Iraqi government policy and suppressing close relations. Iraq and Iran in the military field.
