Hubungan Perilaku Bermain Game Online dengan Miopia pada Remaja di Poli Mata RSUD dr. Soebandi Jember
Abstract
Using gadgets or computers to play online games for a long time or more than 2 hours every day can cause eye problems such as dry eyes, watery eyes, experiencing headaches when using it and even causing brain damage due to exposure to light from the monitor screen. The research conducted was a retrospective analytic study with a cross sectional approach. Sampling using the total sampling method with the results of 34 respondents. Data collection used online game playing behavior questionnaires and medical record reports at the eye clinic at RSUD dr. Soebandi Jember. The results showed that the behavior of playing online games in the normal category was 21 respondents (61.8%) and myopia in the mild category was 24 respondents (70.6%). Kendall's tau-b test shows a p-value of 0.258 or which means there is no significant relationship between online game playing behavior and myopia in the eye clinic of RSUD dr. Soebandi Jember. It can be concluded that myopia is not only caused by the behavior of playing online games, but there are several other factors that can affect myopia such as the activity of playing gadgets and computers for other uses besides games or genetic factors from their families.
