Pengamanan Data KTP Menggunakan Kombinasi Algoritma Electronic Code Book (ECB) dan Kode Sistem Isyarat Bahasa Indonesia (SIBI)
Abstract
Cryptography is the art and the knowledge of encoding information so that no one can read it except someone who is authorized. This is very necessary in order to maintain the confidentiality of the message. One cryptosystem method that is often used is the Electronic Code Book (ECB). In this paper, the authors created a coding technique based on ECB by changing the character bit values taken from the ASCII table. In general, bit values are based on base 2 numbers, but in this study, the authors changed the bit values based on the Indonesian Signing System (SIBI). SIBI is usually reserved for people with disabilities, especially the deaf. The data used for encoding in this study is KTP data. The research results show that for each printable ASCII character which is usually converted to 7 bits, the SIBI method will be converted to 5 bits, this has an impact on the number of plaintext characters when encoded into ciphertext, the number will change. Although the number of plaintext and ciphertext characters is not the same, experiments show that text data can be encrypted and produce printable characters. It can be returned to its original form (plaintext) through the decryption stage. The difference in the number of plaintext and ciphertext characters can increase information security because it will be more difficult to guess.
