Hubungan Kualitas Tidur dengan Perawatan Diri Pasien Gagal Ginjal Kronis Yang Menjalani Hemodialisa di RSD Dr. Soebandi Jember
Abstract
Hemodialysis in patients with chronic kidney disease causes physical and psychological symptoms that lead to poor sleep quality. Poor sleep quality can interfere with daily activities and self-care abilities. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between sleep quality and self-care in chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis at RSD dr. Soebandi Jember. This research used quantitative methods and analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The study involved 97 hemodialysis patients selected by a total sampling technique. Data were gathered using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and Self-Care of CKD index questionnaires. The results showed that most respondents had poor sleep quality (87.6%), while respondents' self-care was at the partly compensatory level (72.2%). Data analysis using Kendall's tau-c correlation test showed a negative correlation between sleep quality and self-care in chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis at RSD dr. Soebandi Jember (p value = 0.006 <0.05, r = -0.202). This result indicates that the worse the patient's sleep quality, the higher their dependence on self-care. Poor sleep quality has a negative impact on the patient's physical and psychological condition, causing daily difficulties which exert an influence on the self-care ability. Assessing the patient's sleep quality and providing interventions to overcome sleep problems is essential to optimize the self-care of hemodialysis patients.
