Analisis Kekuatan Material AL 6061 dan Baja A500 Terhadap Nilai Struktural Statis pada Ladder Frame Mobil Hemat Energi
Abstract
The increase in the number of transportation in Indonesia has resulted in several problems. In developing
an energy efficient car, one of the important components in the design is the frame. In this study, the effect of aluminum
6061 and astm a500 iron materials on static structural values on energy-efficient car ladder frames. The purpose of
this research is to find out the material and design of a ladder frame chassis that is good for energy-efficient cars.
Frame design modeling uses Autodesk Inventor software and finite element simulation uses Ansys Workbench
software. The results of this study are the value of the von Mises stress of the Aluminum 6061 material for the ladder
frame 1 chassis design is worth 23.31 MPa and the ladder frame 2 chassis design is worth 55.988 MPa, while the
steel A500 material for the ladder frame 1 chassis design is worth 29.423 MPa and the ladder frame chassis design
2 is 65.977 MPa. The safety factor value for the Aluminum 6061 material for the ladder frame 1 is 11.84 and the
ladder frame 2 is 4.93, while the steel A500 material for the ladder frame 1 is 10.71 and the ladder frame 2 is 4.77.
The ladder frame prototype of the Tawangalun energy-efficient car did not experience structural failure.
