    Abstract
Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is a method of 3D printing technology that is popular as well as cheap, the way it works is by heating the filament which is then extruded through the nozzle layer by layer. In the FDM method, product strength can be affected by several factors, including infill pattern, layer height, infill density, and infill speed. This study aims to obtain the optimal type of infill pattern both in terms of strength and printing time using wood filament. The variations of the infill pattern used are triangle, grid, cubic, concentric, and zig-zag. The type of infill pattern that has the highest tensile strength is obtained by the concentric infill pattern with an average maximum tensile strength value of 23.303 N/mm2. The concentric infill pattern has the highest tensile strength value because the structural pattern forms a straight line and is parallel to the load direction during the tensile test. Meanwhile, the shortest printing time was obtained by a zig-zag infill pattern with a length of 82 minutes. To get the optimal type of infill pattern both in terms of strength and printing time, a comparison is made between strength and printing time. From the comparison results, it was found that the type of concentric infill pattern has the highest ratio value of 0.28. This shows that the Concentric infill pattern is the most optimal type of infill pattern compared to the other types of infill studied in this study.
