    Abstract
    This study aims to determine the effect of applying small group discussion assitent by audiovisual media on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN Kedungdalem 02 Probolinggo. The methods used is Quasi Experimental pattern Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The research sample was 50 students. The data collection method is a test (pretest & posttest). Based on the normality test, sig value was obtained. The experimental different was 0,152 > 0,05 while the control different was 0,905 > 0,05 sign value, so that the data for both classes were concluded to be normal. The result of the t-test obtained tcount of 4,724 ttable = 5% (48) of 2,010. Based on tcount (4,724) > ttabel (2,010) Ha is accepted. The relative effectiveness was found to be 15,85% (very low effective). This means that the implementation of small group discussion assitent by audiovisual media is 15,85% more effective than lectures and questions and answer, while the other 84,14% are influenced by internal factors, motivation, interest and external factors limited study times, unfavorable class atmosphere, and many students don’t pay attention.
