Gambaran Perilaku Kebersihan Diri pada Anak Usia Sekolah di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Kunir Kabupaten Lumajang selama Masa Pandemi COVID-19
Abstract
Personal hygiene in school-age children is an important thing that must be
done in daily activities. The purpose of this study is to identify a description of
personal hygiene behavior in elementary school-age children in the working area
of the Kunir Health Center, Lumajang Regency during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The design of this study was cross sectional and A cross-sectional study was
conducted on 205 school-age children using the proportional stratified random
sampling method. The one sample Kolmogrov–Smirnov test was used to answer
the research objectives results for each indicator were obtained (ρ-value 0.000).
Results of the research on the motivational indicators related to personal hygiene
behavior were included in the very good category (47.3%), the perception
indicators of the benefits of personal hygiene behavior were very good (47.8%),
the inhibiting indicators that were felt were included in the very good category
(58 .5%), and the behavior of school-age children's personal hygiene practices
was in the very good category (76.6%). It can be concluded that most of the
indicators of the Health Promotion Model component in personal hygiene
behavior are in a very good category. Based on the concept of the Health
Promotion Model (HPM) theory, self-hygiene behavior in school-age children can
be practiced well and have good results if there are several efforts provided
through financial assistance, both promotive and preventive efforts.
