dc.description.abstract | Farmers Cards have been distributed to farmers in Jember Regency since 2019, however the
use of these farming cards is still limited by farmers. This can be caused by the lack of role of
agricultural institutions in Jember Regency. The purpose of this study was to analyze the
impact of agricultural institutions on farmers decisions in using farmer cards in Jember
Regency. The sample used was 60 farmers consisting of 48 farmers using farmer cards and 12
non user farmers who were taken using the cluster sampling method, where the sample used is
spread across three districts namely Ambulu, Wuluhan and Balung Districts. Data analysis
using binary logistic regression analysis. The results showed that age had a significant effect
with a negative sign on farmers decisions. While the dummy variable for the existence of
farmer groups, the dummy variable for the existence of irrigation institutions, farmer
education, the dummy variable for knowledge of the use of farmer cards, and the experience of
farmers have a significant and positive effect on farmers decisions in using farmer cards.
There is a need for socialization of the use of farmer cards through agricultural institutions
such as farmer groups so that the use of farmer cards will increase | en_US |
