Perbedaan Konsumsi Sayur dan Buah Antara Petani Laki-Laki dan Petani Perempuan: Analisa Data Pos Pembinaan Terpadu Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) Puskesmas Jenggawah Kabupaten Jember Tahun 2021
Abstract
Lack of consumption of Vegetables and fruits is increases the risk of noncommunicable diseases (NCD) among farmers based on their daily consumption of
Vegetables and fruits. This study was to analyze differences Vegetable and fruit
consumption among farmers based on their gender in Posbindu of PTM at
Jenggawah Public Health Center, Jember. A retrospective survey with a
comparative study design based on secondary data analysis of Posbindu PTM from
Februari to June and August to October 2021 was conducted among 105 farmers.
The characteristics of respondents and Vegetables and fruit consumption were
measured through KMS Posbindu PTM. Chi square test was used to answer the
research objectives (p-value < 0.05). The results showed that there were differences
Vegetable and fruit consumption between male and female farmers (pvalue=0.021). Consumption of Vegetables and fruit by male farmers is dominated
by less consumption of Vegetables and fruit (65.2%) and consumption of Vegetables
and fruit by female farmers is dominated by adequate consumption of Vegetables
and fruits (59.3%). Female farmers have a 2.7 times chance of adequate
consumption of Vegetables and fruits than male farmers (OR=2.7; 95% CI =
1,230-6,078). This study shows that there are differences consumption of
Vegetables and fruits by gender. Therefore, health care providers and family nurses
must provide education related to increasing consumption of Vegetables and fruit
for the risk of non-communicable diseases among farmers.
