Analisa Faktor-faktor Sosiodemografi yang Mempengaruhi Perilaku Diet Diabetes pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 di Kabupaten Jember
Abstract
Dietary behavior is one of the components of self-care that is difficult for patients
with type two diabetes mellitus to perform. Dietary behavior needs to be carried
out in daily life to reduce the risk of disease complications. The research method
is an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design. The subjects of
this study were patients with type two diabetes mellitus in Jember Regency, with a
sample size of 130 klien DM tipe 2ts using a multistage random sampling
technique. There are two variables in this study, namely the dependent variable in
the form of dietary behavior, which was measured using the Dietary Behavior
Questionnaire (SMDBQ). The independent variables is sociodemographic factors,
namely age, gender, marital status, income level, education level, ethnicity, and
family type, which were measured using a sociodemographic questionnaire. A
multiple logistic regression test (0.05) was used to analyze the data. The results of
the study with a significance technique of p <α = 0.05, showed that the majority
of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients had dietary behavior in the moderate category
(66.9%) and the sociodemographic factors that influenced diabetes diet behavior
were education level (p value 0.001) and family type (p value 0.001) with R2
=0,208. Efforts to improve self-care in terms of adherence to diabetes diet
behavior must pay attention to sociodemographic factors to prevent complications
and improve the quality of life of patients with type two diabetes mellitus.
