    Abstract
Growth and development is a continuous process, in the period of growth and development, namely when the baby is in the womb until the first few years of a person's birth, at this time the child experiences a golden age which is a period when the child begins to be sensitive / sensitive to receive various stimuli. Therefore, parents should take this opportunity seriously but unfortunately nowadays parents often provide gadgets as a shortcut for caregivers to accompany them without realizing it will affect children's development including speech development. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the intensity of gadget use and delays in speech and language development. The research design that will be used in this study is a quantitative study with an analytical observational design that analyzes the relationship between two variables using the cross sectional method. The number of samples is 40 respondents with a vulnerable age of 3-6 years. The results of statistical tests using Kendalĺs tau-b from the study obtained p value = 0.588, which means p value > 0.05, which means that there is no significant relationship between the intensity of gadget use and delays in speech and language development. It can be concluded that the development of speech and language is not only influenced by gadgets, good use of gadgets and with parental supervision will have a positive impact on children's development.
