    The Use of Kahoot to Improve the Tenth Grade Students' Reading Comprehension Achievement and Active Participation

    Abstract
    The purpose of this research was to improve the tenth grade students' reading comprehension achievement and active participation by using Kahoot. The research design was classroom action research. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri Rambi Puji and the subjects of this research were X IPS 3 class. The data were collected by using observation, reading comprehension achievement test, interview and documentation. The collected data were analyzed statistically by using percentage formula to find the mean score. The research was done in one cycle only which consists of three meetings. The first and second meetings were used for the implementation of the action. Then, the last meeting was used for the reading comprehension test. The criteria of success determined in this research was 75% of the students actively participating in the teaching reading comprehension using kahoot and 75% of students achieved 75 as minimum standard in the reading comprehension test. The result of the observation showed that the students' active participation improved from 72.2% in the first meeting to 88.8% in the second meeting. It means that the results of observation achieved the criteria of the research. In addition, the result of the students' reading comprehension test showed that there were 30 students or 83.3% of the students who achieved the target score 75. It could be concluded that the implementation of this action succeeded in improving the students' reading comprehension achievement and active participation.
