Persepsi Mahasiswa tentang Metode Pembelajaran Aktif di Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Jember
Abstract
The learning process in higher education must do with the principle of active
learning methods. Active learning methods focus on students so that they are
directly involved in the learning process. So that students can be allowed to take
responsibility for what they do. Lastly, all of them can be improved critical
thinking, communication skills, analysis, and management. This study aims to
describe student perceptions of the active learning method at the Faculty of
Nursing, University of Jember. This research uses exploratory descriptive. They
used the stratified random sampling technique—probability sampling, to
determine the number of students (n = 236). This study uses a questionnaire,
"student perceptions of active learning methods, "obtained from previous
research. Students' perceptions of the active learning method showed positive
perceptions of 119 students (50.4%). Meanwhile, students' perceptions of the
active learning method showed negative perceptions of 117 students (49.6%). The
indicator of active presentation material has the highest positive perception
frequency, which is 199 students (84.3%). Meanwhile, students' perceptions of
active learning methods showed negative perceptions of 116 students (49.2%).
The results of this study want to be evaluation material for the nursing faculty. So
that educational institutions can improve themselves to improve the quality of
nursing education.
