Abstract

Each student has diverse characteristics and needs. However, schools have not adequately addressed this diversity. Differentiated learning is a solution to accommodate students varying characteristics and needs by adjusting content, process, product and learning environment. This study aims to determine the effect of process-based differentiated learning based to learning style preferences on the learning outcomes of students at SDN Tegal Besar 02 Jember. This research employs an experimental research method using a non-equivalent (pre-test and post-test) control group design. This research subjects consist of fourth-grade students from class IV A as the control group and those from class IV B as the experimental group. Data were collected through learning outcomes test and analyzed using an independent sample t-test. It can be concluded that, processbased differentiated learning based on learning style preferences has a significant effect on the learing outcomes of students at SDN Tegal Besar 02 Jember.
