Abstract
Listening is one of the four language skills that is rarely practiced explicitly in the learning process and is often considered a natural skill that develops on its own. In fact, listening plays a crucial role as a foundational skill that helps students understand lesson material. This study, entitled The Development of Electronic Student Worksheets (LKPDE) Based on Liveworksheets for Learning to Listen to News Texts in Grade VII of SMP Negeri 5 Jember, aims to produce and examine the feasibility and practicality of electronic student worksheets. This research is a research and development (R&D) study using the 4D model, namely define, design, development, and dissemination. The data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive qualitative techniques for verbal data and the Likert scale for numerical data. The results showed that the electronic student worksheets obtained scores of 94.2% from material experts, 93.2% from language experts, 90.3% from media experts, and 97.2% from practitioners, indicating that the product met the criteria of feasibility and practicality. Based on the trial results, the product also received positive responses from students. In the first trial, the product usage response was 73.7% and the attitude response was 76.3%, while in the second trial, the product usage response increased to 80.2% and the attitude response to 82.9%. Therefore, the Liveworksheets-based electronic student worksheets are considered feasible and practical for learning to listen to news texts in Grade VII and can be used as supporting teaching materials as well as for daily assessments.
