Abstract
Sorghum is a food commodity that has several advantages, such as its gluten
free content and its resistance to less fertile land. Information related to sorghum
plants needs to be provided to the public to increase economic value and as a food
diversification program in Indonesia. However, with its advantages, many people
do not like to consume it because it tastes bad. So there is a need for special
processing into various processed foods that are acceptable to the public.
Therefore, research was conducted to determine the processing process and types
of processed foods from sorghum plants (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench). The
method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection through
interviews, observations and documentation. The types of processed sorghum foods
in Sugio District, Lamongan Regency have different manufacturing processes,
namely sorghum flour, dry sus, rengginang, soy sauce, liquid brown sugar, instant
rice and dry noodles. This product is able to increase the selling value of sorghum
plants as seen from the profits obtained from product sales. The validation results
show 88,9% falls into the category very suitable. as a reading book.
