Abstract

The research focuses on analyzing the dialogues among the main characters in the film "Pride and Prejudice. Several reasons underpin the selection of this movie as a primary data source. Firstly, the film features English native speakers among its writers, producers, and voice actors, offering authentic language teaching materials. Secondly, as noted by Smith (2018), students can derive educational benefits from observing natural conversational dynamics, such as turn-taking, politeness strategies, and expressions of agreement or disagreement, depicted in film adaptations like "Pride and Prejudice" (2005). Essentially. this study intended to provide a good learning material about agreement and disagreement expression into english classroom development. The data collection method employed in this research is documentary, which allows the researcher to capture the exact words and language used by participants in written form, accessible at convenient times (Creswell, 2014). . The data was analyzed using Grice's cooperative principle serves as the analytical framework. The data, collected from conversations among the main characters in the movie "Pride and Prejudice" (Wright, 2005), was analyzed descriptively to elucidate the findings
