dc.description.abstractAs the only Jewish state in the world and is located in the Middle East, Israel from time to time is confronted with conflict reality, both military and non-military with many countries in the surrounding areas as well as Palestinian struggle organizations (Hamas and Hezbollah). It is then becomes serious concern for Israel government to maintain its existence as a nation and created its national security in order to guarantee the security of its citizens. The purpose of the study is to analyze the Israeli government to deploy anti-rocket defense systems of Israel "Iron Dome" in March 2011, by using the concept of structural defensive realism and national security. The results show that the Iron Dome defense system currently required for Israel national security, where the defense system will serve as an interceptor of rocket attacks and short range ballistic missile that enter the territory as well as support from three levels of Israel air defense systems.en_US
