ALCOHOL (Book MEDICAL PRACTICE OF PREVENTIVE NUTRITION: Chapter VI Diet-orientated preventive nutrition)
Abstract
Strategies for the prevention of alcohol abuse should focus on prevention policies which ideally operate at the level of the individual and the community. At both levels, an understanding of alcohol as a food/beverage and and as a drug/chemical, with its early effects on psychology, physiology and social environment, is very important to enable decision-making on drinking habits.
