Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and hedonic motivation on QRIS usage behavior with the intention of using it as an intervening variable in Sumbersari District, Jember Regency. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data was collected through questionnaires from 150 respondents who had used QRIS, supplemented with interviews and documents. The analysis involves descriptive statistics, path analysis, and hypothesis testing with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) via Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that performance expectancy (p=0.040), effort expectancy (p=0.020), and hedonic motivation (p=0.009) had a significant positive effect on the intention to use QRIS, which mediated an indirect influence on usage behavior, so that the H1-H7 hypothesis was accepted. Theoretically, these findings enrich the UTAUT 2 model in a semi-urban context that proves the role of intentional mediation in QRIS adoption. Meanwhile, practically, the results support financial inclusion for MSMEs and the people of Jember Regency with the highest average scores in performance expectancy (83.47%) and effort expectancy (83.44%). Recommendations include education and socialization of the benefits of QRIS to the village level, improving internet infrastructure, and developing promo features to increase emotional engagement. Further research is suggested to expand the region and add the UTAUT 2 variable in full.
