Abstract
Critical thinking skills are one of the essential 21st-century skills that
students need to have. However, students' critical thinking skills in Indonesia are
still relatively low, one of which is caused by the limited teaching materials that can
facilitate the development of these skills. This study aims to develop teaching
materials in the form of Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on Project Based
Learning integrated with STEM to improve students' critical thinking skills, as well
as to determine the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed
teaching materials. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D)
with the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of analyze, design,
develop, implement, and evaluate. The results show that the LKPD based on Project
Based Learning integrated with STEM obtained a validity value with an average
percentage of 90% and is included in the very valid category. The level of
practicality of the LKPD based on the results of observations of learning
implementation obtained a percentage of 89% with a very practical category. The
effectiveness of LKPD is shown by the increase in students' critical thinking skills
with an N-gain value of 0.59 in the moderate category, and is supported by the
results of the student response questionnaire which obtained a percentage of 83.7%
in the very good category. So it can be concluded that the LKPD based on Project
Based Learning integrated with STEM that has been developed is declared valid,
practical, and effective for use as teaching materials in science learning.
