Abstract
Manik Hamlet, Pasuruan Regency, is a rural area that thrives on household-based catfish farming, where work relationships are formed through informal kinship networks. This study utilizes Hildred Geertz's theory of kinship to understand how social relationships within rural communities shape work patterns and economic life. This study aims to analyze the contribution of kinship networks to the economic well-being of workers in the Pathile home industry. The study employed a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods, and data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation of business owners and workers. The results show that workers' economic well-being is determined not only by income but also by the certainty of job access, the continuity of employment relationships, and the existence of social security established within kinship relationships. These networks enable workers to achieve flexible and sustainable work stability. Thus, well-being in rural home industries stems not only from economic aspects but also from the strength of social relations that support the continuity of life and work.
