dc.description.abstractThis research is done for designing a prototype of Crossflow turbine with two rotors, which have different blade numbers. The purpose of this research is to study the determination of proper blade numbers in order to produce the most efficient power as microhydro power planning, and to know the capacity and the efficiency of electric power generated by the crossflow turbine prototype with different blade numbers. Input data used in this research were height fall of water, the water discharge, rotation speed, turbine torque and the oretical data to calculate the power turbine, and comparing the actual turbine efficiency with different numbers. The blade numbers that are used were 10 and 14, while the treatment of the water that are used were 1 and 1,5 inches. The prototype data analysis of Crossflow turbine for the pipe with 1 and 1,5 inches diameter produce the electrical power about 29,4 and 58,8 watt, respectively. The actual power that were produced by the turbine with 10 blade numbers in 1 and 1,5 inches pipe were 22,05 and 44,46 watt. While, the power that are produce by 14 blade numbers in 1 and 1,5 inches pipe were 24,72 and 51,91 watt, respectively. Based on this data was known that the highest efficiency of Crossflow turbine prototype with 14 blade numbers and 1,5 inches pipe are 88,2%.en_US
