Abstract

Tempe Bunda Factory is a Jember business specializing in producing tempe. The factory faces challenges in selecting soybean suppliers, which indirectly affect the sustainability of its production process. Supplier selection is a multi-criteria decision-making problem because it involves various factors that must be considered simultaneously. The diversity of these factors makes the supplier selection process complex and requires in-depth analysis. This issue can be solved using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) methods. AHP is a method that decomposes a problem into a hierarchy or levels, making it easier to analyze the factors involved. Meanwhile, SAW is a weighted sum method that can rank alternatives. This study aims to determine the best selection of suppliers based on criteria using a combination of the AHP and SAW methods. AHP is used to calculate the weight values of the considered criteria, while SAW is used to rank the alternatives. The criteria used include quality, price, delivery timeliness, and service. The other options considered are suppliers A, B, C, D, E, and F. The results of this study show the ranking order from highest to lowest as follows: Supplier D, Supplier C, Supplier E, Supplier F, Supplier A, and Supplier B, with respective weights of 0,935; 0,808; 0,694; 0,461; and 0,445.
