    Abstract
Retona Blend 55 is a mixture of petroleum asphalt penetration 60 or 80 with refinery Buton asphalt semi processed. There are some important considerations of using Retona Blend 55. The use of Retona Blen 55 is so simple, durable and strong enough. That is why this research done to determine the effect of using Retona Blend 55 Asphalt on Marshall’s characteristics in Ashpalt Concrete - Wearing Course (ACWC). With asphalt penetration 60/70 as a comparison. Marshall’s characteristic include density, Voids in Mineral Agregate (VMA). Voids Filled with Asphalt (VFA), Voids In the Mix (VIM), flow, Marshall Quatient (MQ). This research uses Retona Blend 55 with a level from 10% - 100%.and 10% interval. The value for VIM in Marshall characteristics level 10%-20% showed that this level is not quit on the specification while the other levels one succesfully swits on the spesification. The value of VMA level 10%-50% is also successfully swits on the specification while the others not. The value of VFA level 10%-30% is not successfully swits on the specification while the others levels swits on the specification. Next, each variation of the use Retona Blend 55 is compared to asphalt penetration to determine the effect of using Retona Blend 55. The result of analysis can be known from the level of Retona Blend 55. It showed that level 10%-100% Retona Blend 55 had different significant levels of seven Marshall’s characteristics. On the level 90% of Retona Blend 55 and 10% of asphalt penetration 60/70 showed a significant effect towards all Marshall’s Characteristics.
