Abstract
This study aimsed to determine the effect of STEM-based media using eco enzymes on collaborative skills and student learning outcomes in high school. The research was motivated by the low level of collaborative skills and learning outcomes. Generally, learning in schools still uses monotonous media, which makes students bored and uninterested, thus requiring engaging innovations. Learning with a STEM approach shaped learners’ character to recognize knowledge (science) and apply it with skills (technology) to design methods (engineering) through analysis and mathematical calculations (math) to obtain solutions for problem-solving. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent pretest-posttest-control group design employing STEM-based learning media. The research subjects were tenth-grade students of SMA Mumbulsari, Jember Regency, divided into two classes: X4 as the control and X7 as the experimental class. Assessment instruments included pre-test and post-test questions for cognitive outcomes and collaborative skills assessment sheets. Data were analyzed using an Independent Sample t-test and ANCOVA with SPSS. The results showed that STEM-based media using eco-enzymes had a significant effect on collaborative skills, with a significance value of 0.002, where the average skills of students in the experimental class were higher than those in the control class. It also had a significant effect on cognitive learning outcomes, with a significance value of
