The general study of this thesis is sociolinguistics. Register as one of the parts of sociolinguistics refers to a set of words that speakers use to communicate in certain situations and chances. It reflects their social identity. This set of language is associated with distinct occasional or social groups. This thesis is conducted to describe the kinds of register and the social contexts which influence them using the register that is used by the caddies of Taman Dayu Golf. In collecting the data, questionnaires and interviews are used. This steps are done to collect the terms used by caddy as their register. Therefore the data are in the form of words. To analyze the data, identifying and classifying are taken as the first steps. It is done to answer the first question of what terms that belong to caddy register. Next, recognizing the social contexts where the terms occur becomes the following discussion. The type of this thesis is descriptive-qualitative research which is conducted by collecting data, analyzing data and then describing data. The data obtained from interviews and questionnaires are analyzed to find out not only the kinds of register but also the social contexts that impact the use of register. The result shows that there are seventy terms classified as golf register. Those terms are classified into seven kinds, namely: based on the reservation, based on the golf field, based on the category of tournament flight, based on the skill and term of playing, based on game format, based on the scoring and based on the name of golf shots.
