Pengaruh Pemberian Kompos Limbah Jagung dan Zpt Hormonik Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Tanaman Tembakau (Nicotiana tabaccum L.)

Abstract

The cultivation of Samporis tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) faces critical challenges due to excessive chemical fertilizer dependency that damages the environment. This study aimed to analyze the interactive and single-factor effects of applying corn waste compost and hormonic Plant Growth Regulators (PGR) on the growth and yield of Samporis tobacco. The method employed was a factorial experiment arranged in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three replications. The first factor was the dosage of corn waste compost (0, 200, and 400 grams/polybag) and the second factor was the concentration of hormonic PGR (0, 10, and 15 ml/L of water). The results showed a highly significant interactive effect on plant height and leaf fresh weight. The best treatment combination was demonstrated by a corn waste compost dose of 400 grams/polybag and a hormonic PGR concentration of 15 ml/L of water (J2 H2), which produced the highest average plant height (114.97 cm) and the heaviest leaf fresh weight (67.37 grams). As single factors, the 400 grams/polybag compost dose and 15 ml/L PGR concentration independently exerted highly significant effects in optimizing almost all vegetative parameters. In conclusion, the integration of organic soil amendment and physiological manipulation is highly effective in upgrading plant growth performance. Farmers are advised to apply the J2 H2 combination to secure the most optimal vegetative growth and physical leaf quality of Samporis tobacco.
