Abstract
Creativity is one of the important aspects of development that needs to be stimulated from an early age. Early childhood refers to children from birth to six years old, a period often described as the golden age because it is a critical stage for growth and development. One effort that can be made to enhance children’s creativity is through the use of appropriate learning media, one of which is loose parts media. Loose parts media provide opportunities for children to explore, imagine, and create various forms based on their ideas and creativity. This study aims to determine the effect of using loose parts media on the creativity abilities of children aged 4–5 years at TK Bina Anaprasa Nuris Jember. This research employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method. The research subjects were children aged 4–5 years at TK Bina Anaprasa Nuris Jember. Data were collected through observation, while data analysis used statistical techniques to identify differences in children’s creativity abilities before and after the treatment. Loose parts media are recommended as an alternative learning medium to support creativity development in early childhood. The results of the Mann–Whitney test calculated using SPSS version 27 obtained a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, which indicates that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. These results show that there is a significant effect of the use of loose parts media on children’s creativity abilities.
