Tindak Tutur Ekspresif dalam Film Penyalin Cahaya Karya Wregas Bhanuteja

Abstract

An expressive speech act is a type of speech act that expresses the speaker's feelings. Expressive speech acts reflect psychological states, including expressions of joy, hardship, liking, pleasure, hatred, or misery. This study describes the expressive speech acts found in the movie Penyalin Cahaya (Photocopier) by Wregas Bhanuteja. The research method used qualitative and descriptive methods. The data in this study are the forms of speech segments and contexts that indicate the form and mode of expressive speech acts. The data collection method employed documentation techniques. The data analysis method is applied in several stages: data reduction stage, data presentation stage, and conclusion drawing stage. The results of this study found seven forms of expressive speech acts in Penyalin Cahaya movie: (1) expressive speech act of criticizing, (2) expressive speech act of complaining, (3) expressive speech act of blaming, (4) expressive speech act of praising, (5) expressive speech act of thanking, (6) expressive speech act of congratulating, and (7) expressive speech act of flattering. There are several expressive speech act modes that are found in Penyalin Cahaya movie, namely : a) declarative mode, (b) optative mode, (c) interrogative mode, (d) obligative mode, (e) desiderative mode, (f) imperative mode, (g)conditional mode. This research is expected to be used as discussion and reference material by researchers who will conduct research on pragmatic studies, especially expressive speech acts.
