Pengaruh Praktik Kerja Industri, Efikasi Diri, dan Motivasi Kerja terhadap Kesiapan Kerja Siswa SMK

Abstract

Work readiness is a crucial aspect that vocational high school (SMK) students must possess to compete in the labor market. Work readiness is influenced by various factors, including industrial work practice, self-efficacy, and work motivation. Therefore, it is important to examine the contribution of these three factors to students’ work readiness. This study employed a quantitative approach involving 73 twelfth-grade students in the Accounting Program at SMKN 1 Jember as the research sample. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation and were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that industrial work practice, self-efficacy, and work motivation each had a positive and significant effect on students’ work readiness (p < 0.05). Simultaneously, these three variables explained 70.8% of the variance in students’ work readiness, while the remaining 29.2% was influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. These findings indicate that industrial work practice, self-efficacy, and work motivation are important factors in enhancing students’ work readiness. The findings imply that schools should strengthen the implementation of industrial work practice and foster students’ self-efficacy and work motivation through learning activities and career guidance services to improve graduates’ work readiness.
