Perancangan dan Optimasi Coiled Tubing Gas Lift (CTGL) serta Perbandingan Kinerja terhadap Continous Gas Lift (CGL) pada Sumur X

Abstract

Declining reservoir pressure over the production life presents a major challenge in the oil and gas industry, reducing the natural energy required to lift fluids to the surface. Well X, a horizontal well in the NDF Field that has been producing for more than seven years with a water cut reaching 85%, shows a significant decline in production rate, necessitating optimization of the artificial lift system. This study aims to design and optimize the Coiled Tubing Gas Lift (CTGL) system and compare its performance against conventional Continuous Gas Lift (CGL) in Well X. The research methodology includes building a base case CGL well model using PROSPER, matching with actual field data, designing the CTGL system, and conducting sensitivity analyses on gas injection rate, coiled tubing depth, top node pressure, bottom hole pressure, and coiled tubing size to obtain the optimal configuration. Sensitivity analysis identified the optimum conditions at gas injection rate of 1 MMSCFD, top node pressure of 130 psig, coiled tubing size of 1 inch, and injection depth of 6000 ft. The optimal CTGL configuration achieved a liquid rate of 887 STB/d, representing a 6.10% increase compared to the base case CGL which only reached 836 STB/d. Therefore, the implementation of CTGL with optimized operating parameters has been proven to significantly enhance the production performance of Well X compared to the conventional CGL system.
