Implementasi Metode Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assesment (WASPAS) dalam Pemilihan Metode Pembelajaran (Studi Kasus: SD Menampu 04)

Abstract

Selecting an appropriate learning method is an important factor in improving the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process in elementary schools. At SD Menampu 04, the selection of learning methods is still carried out manually based on teachers’ considerations, making the decision-making process time-consuming and less systematic. This study aims to develop a decision support system for selecting learning methods using the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method. The system was developed using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method with the Extreme Programming (XP) approach, which includes planning, design, coding, and testing stages. The system was built as a web-based application using the PHP programming language with the Laravel framework and MySQL database. The criteria used in this study include subject matter, facilities and infrastructure, exam scores, and teacher experience. The WASPAS method was chosen because it combines the Weighted Sum Model (WSM) and Weighted Product Model (WPM) methods to produce more optimal recommendations. The results showed that the developed decision support system was able to provide learning method recommendations based on the highest preference values generated from the WASPAS calculation process. System evaluation was conducted using the Mean Absolute Error (MAE) method and obtained an error value of 0.069. This value indicates that the system has a low error rate and produces recommendations close to the actual data. Therefore, the developed system can assist schools in determining learning methods effectively, efficiently, and objectively.
