Pengaruh Model Discovery Learning Berbantuan Media Powtoon Terhadap Motivasi Dan Hasil Belajar Fisika Siswa Sma

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the discovery learning model assisted by Powtoon media on the motivation and learning outcomes of high school students in physics. The research was motivated by the low motivation to learn physics of students at SMA Negeri 2 Jember due to less interactive learning, which has an impact on learning outcomes that are not optimal. This study uses a quantitative approach with a true experiment method and a posttest only control group design. The study population was all grade X students of SMA Negeri 2 Jember, with samples determined using a purposive sampling technique, namely class X-8 as the experimental group and class X-9 as the control group, each totaling 36 students. Learning motivation data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire, while learning outcome data were collected through reasoned multiple-choice questions on the topic of global warming. Data analysis was carried out using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene's Test homogeneity test, and Independent Sample T-Test hypothesis test with the help of SPSS 27. The results showed that the average learning motivation score of the experimental class (80) was higher than the control class (71) with a significance value of <0.001, while the average learning outcomes of the experimental class (87) were higher than the control class (79) with a significance value of <0.001. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the application of the discovery learning model assisted by Powtoon media on the motivation and learning outcomes of high school students in physics.
