Pengaruh Aplikasi Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) pada Laju Pertumbuhan Berbagai Varietas Tanaman Selada (Latuca sativa L.) dengan Sistem Hidroponik Vertikultur

Abstract

Lettuce plant with the Latin name Lactuca sativa L. is a type of horticultural plant that can grow optimally in tropical regions. Vertical hydroponic is one of the innovative methods in hydroponic farming where plant cultivation is carried out vertically or extending upwards. The success of hydroponic cultivation is determined by the provision of appropriate AB mix nutrients. However, there are several problems related to the use of AB mix nutrients including environmental pollution, expensive prices, and affecting the nutritional content of lettuce plants. So there is a need for alternative nutrients, namely by using Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR). This study aims to determine the effect of the interaction between the administration of PGPR concentrations on several varieties of lettuce plants. The method used in this study is a Randomized Block Design (RAK) consisting of 2 factors with 3 replications. Data analysis was carried out using ANOVA tests at 5% and 1% levels, if there is a significant difference in effect, further testing will be carried out with the DMRT test at the 5% level. The results of this study indicate that there is no interaction between plant varieties and PGPR concentrations on the growth rate of lettuce plants. The Caipira variety treatment yielded the best results in terms of fresh weight, dry weight, leaf area, plant growth rate based on fresh weight, plant growth rate based on dry weight, and relative growth rate based on fresh weight.
