Abstract
This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of sixth-grade students on the human movement system material at SDN Tegal Besar 02 Jember. The learning process was still dominated by conventional methods, resulting in limited student participation and engagement during classroom activities. This research aimed to examine the effect of the Game Based Learning model on students' learning outcomes in the human movement system material. A quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental design, specifically the Non-Equivalent Control Group Design, was employed. The research sample consisted of 56 students divided into an experimental class (VIA) and a control class (VIB), with 28 students in each class. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test instruments and analyzed using normality tests, independent sample t-tests, and relative effectiveness analysis with the assistance of SPSS version 25. The findings revealed that the post-test mean score of the experimental class (62.42) was higher than that of the control class (46.71). The t-test results indicated a t-value of 6.313, which exceeded the critical t-table value of 2.004 (6.313 > 2.004), demonstrating a significant effect of the Game Based Learning model on students' learning outcomes. Furthermore, the relative effectiveness analysis showed a value of 32.76%, categorized as moderate effectiveness. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Game Based Learning model has a significant effect and is more effective than conventional learning in improving students' learning outcomes on the human movement system material at SDN Tegal Besar 02 Jember.
