Faktor yang Berhubungan dengan Keberhasilan Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT) dalam Peningkatan Berat Badan Ibu Hamil Kurang Energi Kronis (KEK) (Studi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sumbersari Kabupaten Jember)

Abstract

Pregnancy is a period that requires particular attention to maternal nutritional needs. In Indonesia, some pregnant women still do not receive adequate energy intake over an extended period, putting them at risk of developing Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED). The Supplementary Feeding Program (PMT) was implemented to improve the nutritional status of pregnant women with CED; however, its success is influenced by compliance with PMT consumption. This study aimed to analyze the factors associated with the success of PMT in increasing the body weight of pregnant women with CED at Sumbersari Public Health Center, Jember Regency. This observational study with a cross-sectional approach involved 33 pregnant women with CED who received PMT in 2025 and were selected using total sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires, health center records, and Maternal and Child Health (MCH) books, and analyzed descriptively using frequency distribution, cross-tabulation, and Odds Ratio (OR). The results showed that good nutritional knowledge (OR=2.121) and effective monitoring by community health volunteers (OR=1.111) were associated with PMT compliance, while family support (OR=0.875) was not. Compliance with PMT consumption increased the likelihood of program success by 5.417 times. In conclusion, compliance with PMT consumption is an important factor in improving body weight among pregnant women with CED.
