Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effects of education level, job training, and working hours on the wages of informal workers in East Java Province. The study is motivated by the dominance of the informal sector in the labor market, making informal workers' wages an important indicator of labor welfare. This research employed a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the August 2024 National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) published by Statistics Indonesia (BPS). The sample consisted of 8,664 informal workers in East Java Province. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) approach. The results indicate that education level, job training, and working hours each have a positive and significant effect on the wages of informal workers. Furthermore, these three variables simultaneously have a significant effect on the wages of informal workers in East Java Province. These findings suggest that improving human capital through education and job training, as well as optimizing working hours, can contribute to increasing the wages of informal workers.
