Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Flipbook Digital Untuk Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Kelas V SDN Singotrunan 4 Banyuwangi
Abstract
A variety of learning media can help students become more enthusiastic in
participating in learning activities. Various innovations and variations of learning
media used in delivering material can increase students' motivation in learning so
that learning activities can be carried out properly. Based on the results of
observations and interviews, it was found that students have reading skills limited
to being able to read, but are less able to understand the content of the texts they
read. This situation shows that students' reading comprehension ability is still
relatively low. The relatively low level of reading comprehension of students is
one of the causes of the lack of variety in the use of learning media. Based on this
presentation, the solution that can be done is to develop digital flipbook learning
media has the advantage of supporting the achievement of the goals of Indonesian
learning activities as a learning medium that contains reading text material in
improving the reading skills of grade V elementary school students. The purpose
of this study is to determine the development process, validity, effectiveness, and
practicality of Digital Flipbook learning media for grade V students of SDN 4
Singotrunan Banyuwangi. This study uses research development with the Borg
and Gall model but only uses eight stages, namely preliminary research, planning
and developing products, developing initial product designs, validating product
designs, revising initial product designs, conducting use trials, revising product
designs, and conducting effectiveness tests. The research was conducted in class
V of SDN 4 Singotrunan Banyuwangi in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 school
year. Validity was obtained from the results of the product validation test with a
score of 88 categories is very feasible. Effectiveness was obtained from the
relative effectiveness test with a score of 89.65% in the high effectiveness
category Practicality was obtained from a questionnaire of student responses with
a score of 90 in the very practical category. Based on these results, it can be
concluded that the development of digital flipbook learning media obtained valid,
effective, and practical results for use in learning.
