Abstract
Borobudur Tourism Park is a cultural tourism destination recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site. The high volume of visits from both domestic and international tourists requires a well-managed visitor management system to ensure visitor comfort while preserving the heritage site. This implementation aims to regulate visitor flow and reduce overcrowding through separate counters during ticket purchase, as well as designated routes from the departure shelter, main gate, meeting point, and finally to the temple area. After purchasing tickets, visitors undergo baggage inspection before continuing to the departure shelter according to their visit category. Temple structure visitors must follow scheduled departures, pass through the main gate, continue to the upanat counter and meeting point, and be accompanied by a tour guide before entering the temple area. Ticket wristbands are then verified prior to ascending the monument. Meanwhile, temple ground visitors can directly enter the temple area after passing through the main gate without following the additional procedures required for temple structure visits. Therefore, the visitor management system at Borobudur Tourism Park provides an organized, safe, and efficient visitation process that enhances visitor satisfaction while supporting the conservation and sustainable management of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.
