Pengaruh Lingkungan Kerja terhadap Kinerja Karyawan PT Bank Mandiri Taspen Area Jember

Abstract

The study aims to examine the influence of the work environment on employee performance at PT Bank Mandiri Taspen Area Jember. The work environment is considered an important factor affecting employees’ comfort and work effectiveness. Which may improve performance. This study employed a quantitative approach whit an explanatory associative research design. The population consisted of all 36 permanent employees of Bank Mandiri Taspen Area Jember. A non-probability sampling technique with a saturated sampling method was applied, in which all members of the population were selected ass respondent. Data were collected though questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression whit SPSS software. The results indicate that the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance.. The t-test produced a significance value below 0.05, indicating that the research hypothesis was accepted. The coefficient of determination (R2) WAS 0.583, meaning that the work environment explained 58.3% of the variation in employee performance, while the remaining 41.7% was influenced by other factors outside this study. The highestrated indicator of the work environment was workplace safety and comfort, Particularly employees’ perception of feeling comfortable while carrying out their work.
