Abstract
Low quality of education is influenced by learning models and the use of
assessment media that lack innovation or are not student-centered. This affects
students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes, one of which is in the
physics subject on the topic of work and energy. Critical thinking skills are the
ability to analyze problems and statements of truth through cognitive processes and
reflective thinking. Meanwhile, learning outcomes serve as a reference for
determining the extent to which students have successfully mastered the material
they have studied. The research was conducted at SMAN Jenggawah, with sample
selection using purposive sampling and an experimental research design in which
there were a control class and an experimental class. The research design used was
a Pretest–posttest control group design. The data on critical thinking skills were
collected based on 5 indicators and 12 sub-indicators of critical thinking skills. The
learning outcome data were collected based on 6 cognitive processes and 4
knowledge dimensions. The results of the study showed that the average posttest
score of the experimental class was higher than the average posttest score of the
control class. Based on the statistical test results, namely 0.009 for critical thinking
skills and 0.006 for learning outcomes, it can be concluded that there is a difference
in the average scores between the experimental class and the control class. There
is an effect of the Means Ends Analysis learning model assisted by the Edulastic E Assessment media on senior high school students' critical thinking skills and
learning outcomes in the topic of work and energy.
